In order to promote quality in the sponsored links, AikiWeb has set
forth the following guidelines for sponsored links. These guidelines
are subject to change and it is your responsibility to check these
guidelines for changes, additions or subtractions. These guidelines
are intended to provide quality sponsored links for both the
advertiser and webmaster and to all audience members who view the ad.
-
No inappropriate language - Your sponsored link cannot
contain offensive or inappropriate language.
-
Appropriate for all audiences - Links are reviewed and
categorized as "non-family safe," or "adult sexual content" on a
case-by-case basis. These links may not be accepted on our ad network
of sites. Please remember that the Internet is used by people of all
ages, race, ethnicity and origin. Your links should be viewable for
all audiences.
-
Use standard capitalization - Link text must be written
with normal sentence capitalization. No excessive capitalization such
as "FREE" or "BUY NOW." Capitalization of the first letter of each
word within your displayed URL is permitted. However, capitalization
of an entire word, or excess capitalization, is not permitted.
-
No repeated and unnecessary punctuation or symbols - Your
title may not contain an exclamation point. Your ad text may only
contain one exclamation point.
-
Keep your link text concise - Please keep the following link
text limits in mind when planning your links. We believe that concise
text provide a great user experience and ultimately contribute to your
success.
-
Write accurate link text - Your link text must directly relate to the
content on the landing page for your sponsored link.
-
Distinguish your link - include your company name, line
of business, or product in your link text or title.
-
Avoid superlatives - If your link contains comparative or
subjective phrases such as "Best," "Cheapest," "Top," or "#1,"
verification by a third party must be clearly displayed on your
website.
-
Limit promotional language - Your link text cannot contain
promotional language such as "New," "Free," or "Limited Time Only,"
unless it directly relates to a product found on the landing page for
your sponsored link. The use of such terms must adhere to the true
meaning of the words. Examples: To use "New," you must offer a new
product or service and substantiate this claim on the landing page for
your link. To use "Free," the free service or product must be offered
on the landing page for your link. To use "Limited Time Only," you must
state that the product or service is offered for a limited time on the
landing page for your link.
-
Special offers - If a product, guarantee, warranty, or
special offer is mentioned in your link, it must be clearly displayed
on your website within 1-2 clicks of your link's landing page. If you
offer a local service or product, clearly indicate your location in
your link text. Example: If you mention that you are selling bokuto
for 20% off only in Detroit, you should include "Detroit" in your link
text, and your link should direct people to a page that clearly
displays bokuto at the discounted price.
-
Links appropraitely - Your URLs must work and accurately
reflect your link and site as described in the link text.
-
Destination URL must work - Your destination URL must
work properly. Check your spelling and symbols to make sure you
entered the correct URL for the page you want users to visit. The
landing page for your link cannot be under construction. We require
your destination URL to link to an actual web page with content
relevant to your link. When your site is under construction or down
for maintenance, you must pause your link(s).
- No pop-ups - We do not allow links to landing pages that generate
pop-ups when users enter or leave your landing page. We consider a
pop-up to be any window, regardless of content, that opens in
addition to the original window.
- Working back button - Links to your website must allow
users to return to the website in which your link originated by
clicking once on the browser's "back" button.
- Use clear, direct language and avoid gimmicks.
-
Use Correct Spelling - Check that you use correct spelling.
